PGA DFS Lineup Optimizer
Frequently Asked Questions
The BluecollarDFS PGA optimizer builds DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo golf lineups from our own projections. It is part of Premium ($17.99 per month), which also adds builds of up to 150 lineups, exposure controls and the full NBA, NFL and MLB toolset.
How does the Golf DFS Optimizer work?
Our optimizer uses weekly projections to help you build the best possible lineups for PGA tournaments. You can lock in your core players, exclude golfers you think will miss the cut, and adjust settings to create multiple diverse lineups for large-field tournaments.
What is the most important strategy in Golf DFS?
The most critical goal in Golf DFS is getting all 6 of your golfers to make the cut (often called '6/6'). A golfer who misses the cut cannot score points on the weekend, which almost always prevents a lineup from winning. That's why golf lineups should lean toward golfers with a high chance of making the cut.
How should I use the 'Max Exposure' and 'Unique Players' settings for golf?
These settings are key for multi-entry tournament play. Golf is highly variable, so it's risky to have one golfer in 100% of your lineups. Setting a 'Max Exposure' of 30-40% is a common strategy to limit risk. Using the 'Minimum Unique Players' setting ensures you have a diverse portfolio of lineups, increasing your chances that one of them will have the perfect combination to win.
Is there stacking in Golf DFS?
No. Unlike team sports, there is no correlation between one golfer's performance and another's. Each golfer's score is independent. The best strategy is simply to pick the 6 golfers you believe will score the most fantasy points for their salary, without worrying about stacking.
How are BluecollarDFS golf projections built?
With our own process, refined over several seasons of PGA DFS. We combine data and projection inputs for the field and calculate DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo separately, updating through the tournament week as the field and conditions settle. Golf currently uses a lighter version of the process behind our team-sport projections.
How often do golf projections update?
Golf projections update as the tournament week unfolds. As the field is finalized, tee times are set, and conditions become clearer, the numbers are adjusted. By the time lineups lock, you're working with our most current view of the field.
Can I use this optimizer for DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo?
Yes! We support all three major DFS platforms for golf. Select your site, and the optimizer automatically handles the correct salary cap and roster rules. Whether you play on DraftKings, FanDuel, or Yahoo, you can build optimized lineups with the same projection-driven tools.
